Retired IAM District 102 BR Tom (Buddha) Stockton

Quad Cities - Retired IAM District 102 Business Representative Tom Stockton was inducted into the Quad Cities Labor Hall of Fame on December 14, 2001. Stockton was recognized for his hard work and dedication as a true trade unionist, political activist and for his service to the community.

He is a past recipient of the AFL-CIO George Meany Award. Tom has served in many offices and positions including IL. 17th CD Cope Chairman, Delegate to the 1988 Democratic Party National Convention, Financial Secretary of the IL. State Council of Machinists, Vice President of the IL. State Council of Machinists, and was on the Executive Board of the IA. State Council of Machinists.

Stockton served as Business Representative at IAM District 102 for over 30 years. He began his career as a BR at age 29. Prior to serving as BR he worked as a machinist at Montgomery Elevator in Moline, IL.
